The external hdd I own connects and autoruns fine on my old laptop but previously it worked I had to stir to a certain eyeshade in window and I dont remember how to get within. This screen is where on earth I unlocked the drive and windows started recognize it as a usable drive. Before this it just said a drive be connected but it was not accessible. I hope this make sense.
Where do I shift to cause my external hdd? I have to run somewhere surrounded by Windows to turn it on beore.?
Most likely this would necessitate to be done in disk guidance.
Right click on the "my computer" icon and select "manage"
Select "disk management" within the screen you see subsequent.
There you see all the disks that are connected to your system.
It might be as simple as assigning a drive memorandum.
Good luck.
u have to shift to BIOS, probably
press the DEL key when workstation is booting up
but i dot know if this is necesary with external tricky drvies...
