i want to purchase a video card for gaming specifically better than the one which i got earlier (geforce fx5200 ) ,it stopped functioning well after 1 year + it made me greatly of problems considering that it's 128 mb and whenever i want to play a big game such as time of war craft or general or condition nought the vga causes the in one piece system to fail . i presume it was not the productive because it was cheap , but very soon i'm planning to bye an original ATI card . gratitude for answering.

the X1650 is one of the latest cards around and is Vista not dangerous.
it is *NOT*, though, a fast card; a 9800(XT) will outrun it most adjectives benchmarks.
it will only run (properly) on a newer motherboard, any with PCI-E or AGP8; you will enjoy trouble getting the card to run properly on any older motherboard merely supporting AGP4.
thus, if you have one of those, the Nv5200 (or a 2nd foot 9800XT) should be your preferred choice. none of those will run Vista to its fullest, though

I think you should shift for the ati card. I myself prefer nvidia and never uses ati anymore,but i think the ati you refure to is a litle stronger afterwards the nvidia.Scuse my bad writing.
The X1650Pro is much better, only just make sure you own the right slot to fit it in. The FX5200 could be any PCI or AGP, and the 1650 Pro could be APG or PCI Express. So you need to kind sure you buy the right type for the slot your computer has, but yes the X1650 is better.
