Which Graphics card to dance next to?

Hello and thank you surrounded by advance to anyone near advice.

Im currently looking at essentially 2 different graphics cards right now.

One is the ATI Radeon 1300 XGE 512 DDR2mb and the other is the PNY Verto Geforce 7900 GS w/ 256 DDR3mb. These cards are in $10 of each other next to the PNY being 10 bucks more but Im curious if the 256mb ddr3 would outperform the ATI next to 512 ddr2mb? Which would you choose if you had to desire? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Finally someone have come to actually answer your examine. The 7900 is better, by FAR. This is not even close, the Radeon 1300 series is a budget non gaming series, while the 7900s are a gaming series. The amount of RAM is not nearly the most important entry.



Now, I noticed you mentioned Best Buy, don't buy a graphics card here, they overcharege, go here and take the same type of card for smaller number:http://www.newegg.com/
screw both and go near 7900gt, 24 pxl pipe lines ftw, best card for the money at the moment.. I think you can obtain a xfx for 200
any card with 256 push will suffice
ddr3 is better than ddr2 but naturally 512 is better than 256



major thing is to check that your motherboard can support ddr3
