which have better characteristic x8 or x2.4 for burning dvds?

When burning DVD's I own always hear that if you burn them slower, you have a better coincidence of compatibility with elder players, and a less arbitrary of skips. Personally, I ain't never noticed a difference.
i would use 2.4
The talent would be the same, 8x is lately faster. I find that if you burn at a lower speed, you get a better burn. I use between 6x or 4x (20 - 30 min.)
I use a slower burn speed usualy x1 or x2 you tend to find a beter video quality bad of the DVD if you burn at a slower speed.
