When updating my "no longer manufactured" Rage 128 Pro I receive a message that say the display is not compatible with my adapter. I want to find out what and where on earth my adapter is and how to upgrade/update it.
Where is the adapter information for my computer?
Are you interested in getting a clean video card? If so, then within order to upgrade it, you'll hold to unplug everything from the PC and open it up. While unplugging the cable, make sure you hold on to in mind the video cable and what position it be unplugged from, that will be your video card.
Once you have your PC open, you'll need to unscrew the anchor screw from the video card from the slot it's installed contained by. Once you have that card removed, replace it beside the new video card into like peas in a pod slot.
I believe that if you have a Rage video card, consequently it should be a AGP video card (AGP stands for Advance Graphics Port). So a replacement Video card would have to be an AGP video card that will support any 4x or 2X bus.
