i think you expected how to safely remove a removable hardware from your system.
You do not want an additional software for it, a short time ago look at the task dowel (bottom right of your screen) you should find an icon near a green arrow. Left click on it and select the hardware you want to remove, wait for a second or so afterwards when the message appears telling you it is safe and sound to do so, remove the hardware.
